I'm working on some new forms. Hope to get a Raku firing done later this week. I'll spare you boring greenware photos and post the glazed work when it comes out. I have decided to skip reduction cone 10 for awhile, I have some Earthenware ideas floating around in my head that I want to work out. I may come back to Shino, but I have to get this earthenware out of my system first. Just a few more weeks before I leave for Penland, counting down the days!!!!

Judy: I am craving some bright color, I want red! Have you seen the pinch pots that Debra Fritts makes? She had us make some in a workshop at Arrowmont, and I dug one out the other day and got inspired to try them again. I'm working out some 3-D stuff for some cups and flower pots. I think the earthenware will compliment the raku better than ^10. Also, I forgot how yummy it feels. It may be a couple of weeks before I get to it, I have some raku pots to finish and have to get some bisque together for Penland. I may be emailing you for advise.....

I'd be happy to share what ever I can -- but I'll bet you know more than you think -- so we can share together. Isn't Debra the best teacher? I love taking classes with her!

More earthenware on the horizon, can't wait to see the color and what your new forms will be. Penland, what a fun time that will be.

Meredith, I'm taking Steven Forbes deSoule's Raku workshop. Pyrotechnics at it's finest!

Wow, Penland!!! A pal of mine is a core student there in clay.. look for him, his name is Jason Burnett aka "Cake Boy". He's cute, young, and well-loved by all there. I'm sure you'll run into him. See you tomorrow?
