I was looking through some old CD's today and came across this picture of the house we lived in when we were in Charlotte. I loved this house. It was like a little story book house.There were dogwoods everywhere and a wonderful screened porch(far left in the photo) off of the master bedroom. There was a workshop in back that matched the house and a treehouse across the stream in the backyard that was a replica of the house. If we still lived there I would have an amazing pottery studio right now, sigh...............I made a bunch of stuff today, some pots to take with me to Penland, but my camera is in the car and I'm too lazy right now to walk out there and get it. I'll put some up tomorrow.

What a Fantastic House
Hi Tracey, that is a beautiful house, the sort that brings sunshine and the scent of blossom to the heart when thinking about it. I like the butterflies in the post before too. What a good idea to use a wood cut on clay as well as on fabric. I have been meaning to dig up some of my old lino cuts from the pile of stuff in a cupboard and see what they look like on clay... must do it!
Oh Tracey, that is a storybook house, those dogwoods are so beautiful. It reminds me of the house Gary and first lived in, we had a treehouse too and our cats used to go up into it cause it had a nice leaning ladder and we called it the "cat house". I'd give me eye teeth to live there again - oh well, can't go back only forward.
yep, this was a great house you guys, I really miss it. 3000 sq ft in Charlotte and we sold it for the same price we bought this house for, with just 1900 sq ft. Chapel Hill prices are crazy! Peter, Wesley makes lino stamps and I have used them on clay with great success, you should definitely give it a go.
