What do you do on New Year's Eve?

I sit home and load new music on my IPod and watch yourtube videos. Pathetic isn't it?!
Gerry is shooting the Duke ballgame and I can't stay up past 10 or 11pm so New Year's Eve isn't a big deal to me. Tommorrow we will go to my good friend Laura Farrow's house for her annual New Year's Day pot luck which is much much better. I'm sure I mentioned before how much I like Jack White, this is my all time favorite video.

We watched tv and got horribly drunk - now surfing on my iphone in bed. It is 2am. Nice to see pictures from the year, and think about the people I'd like to be with right now (not that I am - but I can dream.)

happy new year to you and the family - I hope 2010 is a great year for you all.

TRACEY!!! Get up here to Alaska!!! We are just getting started... Chili that's been coking all day, Torchlight Parade, Fireworks, more Fireworks shot off the top of the mountain, fire pit with roasting marshmallows and PLENTY of Hot Buttered Rum... I'm already tired, I should have had a nap today ;o)

I'm Pacific time so I still have 3 hours left in 2009. My Hubby has the flu. I'm watching a Star Trek movie and reading blog posts. At midnight I think I'll go outside and take a look at the Blue Moon :) Happy New Year Tracey.

You're such a party girl, Tracey ...
We went to a friend's house for what turned out to be a wonderful potluck dinner party. Hosts Mike and Tammy (just back from visiting their kids in NC and SC) made roasted duck and venison loin, the rest of us contributed everything else. Our contribution: New Mexico red chile pork meatballs, Spanish lima bean and prosciutto salad, marinated olives, my mother's potato salad. And there was a ton of other food. We hang around with great cooks. Happy New Year, Tracey.

Sounds like all of you are having a bunch of fun for this new year already. I managed to stay up past midnight, just barely, but I figured if poor old Dick Clark could be up in NY I could stay up here at home. Ron, you asked about the music I downloaded: Alter Bridge, Calexico, Black Eyed Peas, The Dead Weather(Jack White's new band), Band of Horses,Peter Yorn (with Scarlett Johanson, she sounds so cool on this album) and JayZ's new song with Alicia Keyes-New York State of Mind. Also, The Killers, and some old Little Willie John.
