Wish I was there

Vancouver, I think I want to move! Gerry photographed Katerina Witt yesterday. Remember her? She was huge in the ice skating events a while back. Gerry had such a crush on her. He watched all the ice skating that year as I'm sure most men did. He called yesterday to say she was standing right in front of him and he was there to photograph her. Who would have thought...I painted some long neglected rooms this weekend, so no pottery. Must get busy this week, 12 by 12 every day!!!! (right....)

I'd love to go to Vancouver too! You should try to go while Gerry's there -- when do your clay classes start?

I remember Katerina Witt -- how lucky is that - full circle for Gerry.

I'm off for a busy week in the studio too.

I love that area, Vancouver and Vancouver Island are tops in my book; looks cold right now though.

Katerina was the last of the real women skaters. They all become these little 4-foot-6 leaping sprites after her. I did Barcelona (photo editor) and Atlanta (feature writer), and Dee got to see Barcelona before the games, but got to go to events in Atlanta during the games. We had friends with Atlanta connections, so she stayed with them. I didn't see her much during the games, and I'm guessing Gerry's situation would be the same. He's probably going to be running from event to event. Too bad not to be there, though.
