Dream

DREAM
"Too often we decide to follow a path that is not really our own, one that others have set for us.We forget that whichever way we go the price is the same. In both cases we will pass through difficult and happy moments, hours of solitude and many complex situations. But when we are living our dream, the difficulties we encounter make sense.
I believe it is better to live a dream rather than to simply dream it. The dream is the start of something greater, something that impels us to make daring decisions. And it's true that the person who pursues a dream takes many risks, but the person who does not, runs risks that are even greater."

Paulo Coelho

Really pertinent to a conversation I had with some pottery friends today. -- it's so hard to stay in your own dream these days.

It's so easy now to constantly look at fabulous artwork (on the internet & in galleries) so we are constantly second guessing ourselves or wondering if what we are doing is right -- constantly measuring ourselves - instead of letting go & being in the dream -- in being in our own dream.

so true...at one point for me it was called d-i-v-o-r-c-e. staying "the path" to those dreams is harder than hopping on the treadmill of life even when the path to our dreams is much more interesting and FUN!

Judy, I have been finding that less and less I want to make something I see that someone else has done, now I have inspiration from other places and I want to follow that and see where it takes me. I have found that when I make something that is true to myself I am enjoying it a lot more than when I am making something that is similar to someone else's work. I'm just trying now to make my own work fabulous and I think you are doing the same thing. Stay the path girl! Cindy, I'm staying on the fun and interesting path no matter what!
