Rain Fell No More

Wesley played the song she wrote for the first time last night at the Local 506. The quality is awful, it was dark and crowded. It was much better live and I'm really proud of her! Thanks to everyone that was there! It's a week for proud moms, check out the video of June Perry's daughter singing Janis Joplin over at her blog. Boy we all have some great kids don't we!

Congrats to Wesley, a musician and a song writer too and you are such a good mom encouraging her along the way, that's so wonderful.

Thanks ya'll, just wish the quality was better and you could hear all the words. It is a beautiful song. When the CD is finished I'll get a better sound bite posted.

She looks at home on stage. I wish the quality was better so I could hear all the words. then again, it made you cry...

Looks like you gave that girl some strong wings, lady.

This is the same child that won't get up in class and give a presentation without total panic, can't believe she can do this. I do wish the quality was better because the words are wonderful. I'll post a better version soon as I get one.

Thanks Doug, I thought about your son when I posted this, I have enjoyed your blogs about his music too. Is he still playing?

Dear Tracey and Wesley,
This is Chologringo , after seeing you yesterday in Hillsborough for Friday Art Walk it was so nice to hear you tell me about how I affected your daughter inspiring her to write about me. I want to tell you how much that meant to me, it made me recall how connected I felt when I spoke with her , but I never mentioned it until now. I am glad to see her making music, it helps heal us and tries to transform time and space into what life really should and can be. Tell your daughter that if she wants to visit with me sometime and play andean folk music and learn the panflute we can jam. Like Marley said "One good thing about music, is when it hits you , you feel no pain, hit me with music , hit me with music, like the rain she sings that left but always can come back to heal us all...
