Eat Your Colors

I was out the door bright and early this morning and heading for the Farmer's Market. Chill in the air, colored leaves on the ground, here it comes.... FALL! This little butterfly was on the path from my front door to my car and I got one quick snap before he headed back for the butterfly bush, his own little farmer's market. The colors today at the market were amazing and lots of new things like bok choy, lemon grass, pea shoots, radishes, turnips, sweet potatoes, lettuces, good yummy fall crops that make wonderful soups and salads.
GREEN
Purple and Cartreuse
RED
Yellow

All these veggies make for a great Asian noodle dish with some steamed edamame, YUM! I love foods like this with my collection of Fiesta ware plates.

looks good, when I used to grow squash, I let the zuchinni or yellow squash get big, cut it in half, stuffed all the other vegetables inside and baked it, that was a good way to get your colors too.

I love eating colors!
This look so good and I always thought you could buy the best veggies in the city farmers market.
PS- tell Wes hello!

Linda, that sounds sooo good I'll have to try that, I think Wes would love it for an after school snack! M, the veggies today were exceptional, and all the farmers were in such good spirits, I think the cooler weather has perked them up a bit! Wes says hello back to ya.

Hi Tracey

Those dishes looks so good!!!

Because I live in country side, it's hard to get asian veggies, so that I grow some asian greens in my garden. I order Japanese veggie seeds at Kitazawa seed by internet.

Hope everything is going well with you. See you soon,

Hitomi
