We just want to have fun

We went to Franklin St. last night for the big Halloween street party. This is a whole bunch of fun! Wes and I were hippy chicks although it was hard to tell that we were dressed up. We both prefer comfort and ease on Halloween so we usually just pull stuff out of the closet. I found the Ouija board at a yard sale a few years ago, we have lots of fun with it on Halloween! When we first moved here there were usually about 70,000 coming to this thing. Last year the town started controling the numbers of people coming in, last year it was down to about 50,000 and this year they estimated 35,000. It was much more manageable, still fun, but there wasn't quite the fear factor of whether you would survive or not.
Gerry was some kind of freaked out heroin addict zombie thing, and he played the part a little too well. He was cracking us up all night.
The most fun thing all evening was a group of dominoes that came up on a group of singing Hare Krishnas (the krishnas were for real, they are on Franklin St all the time) and danced around. Check out the video. My friend Tamera, one of the studio assistants at the Artscenter is in there somewhere. Dominoes dancing and singing with Hare Krishnas is just not something you get to see every day! Back to reality this morning.......maybe...........

You will appreciate my costume... I was dressed up like Pippi Longstocking and my (just turned 6 year old) son, Max says "Are you Hippi Longstocking?".... Why, Yes I am. Hold on a minute and let me change my costume.

So with the creative direction of Max... I became-

Hippi Longstocking! Hoping to post pics soon... feeling yucky and busy with school obligations and functioning house obligations.

Love your costumes! Hope it was a fabulous night!
