Bead o Rama

I have a trunk show coming up on January 15 at The Bead Shop in Carrboro so today was bead o rama in the kitchen. Too cold to work outside and I can't get in the room upstairs with my wheel because of all the junk, so kitchen counter it was. I got 100 beads made and some more farm tiles for my Etsy shop. The shop is looking bleak, I pulled things out for the holidays and I have almost nothing left to put in there.
I have so many boxes of stamps. I used to make them in my kids classes because kids love to stamp clay and I had lots of them for my beginner classes, because beginners also like to stamp clay. Students have broken a lot of them, but I still have some really good ones.

Here is what my kitchen looks like right now. A studio building is emminent, this mess is driving Gerry crazy I know because today he cleared some space in the backyard for a building.

Your beads & tiles look great all lined up -- even if it is the kitchen table. And woohoo -- Gerry has cleared a spot for the building?!? YAY! I can't wait for you to have your own BIG space to work.

I love stamps & texture too -- just look at all yours.

That's a lot of work, they look great; will you raku them? Hope your studio rises very quickly.

What lovely beads! I can't wait to see how they look fired.

I have a detached studio and I still slop over in to the (tiny old) house! Don't promise to keep the clay out of the kitchen, just in case you still get the urge to make beads in there once the studio goes up. :)

Your production is always scary, Tracey. The beads look great. Would love to see them in Shino. I did some buttons in the last firing, in a variety of glazes. Sold all of them. Want to send me some bisqued beads and I'll Shino 'em up for ya? I'm firing in a couple of weeks ...

You do all that and in your kitchen??! You are giving me incentive to make more textured stamps.
It's probably good I don't live closer to you...I'd be broke ;)

hi tracey, nice collection of stamps and beads... if i lived alone i would be working in my kitchen, and my living room and my dining room. when i met sofia's mom, i was building a large dining room table in my living room. btw, i didn't understand the comment about google ads on my blog either (because i don't have them), i just posted it so people who run google ads might see that no matter what you do, someone's got a stick up their butt about it.

Love the quantity shot of beads and tiles! You've done an amazing amount there at the kitchen table. It drives home the point that makers will make their art pretty much wherever they can! (But I know you'll be happy when the building arrives!)
