Such a weird day

Yesterday was one weird day. Gerry had a magazine assignment at a cemetery so I went along for the ride, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say what he was shooting, but it was really strange and sad. I'll show you more pics after his come out maybe. I also went to Sanford, made the decision to get my pre fab building and it was not to be. They wanted cash only for building it on site, which is what has to happen and I had planned on making monthly payments. Always an obstacle. I was really disappointed. We stopped in a coffee shop later in the day in Raleigh and I found someone's business card that said artist/carpenter. Are you kidding me? Perfect! So I have contacted him to come out and see if we can get a studio built! I have learned when I keep reaching dead ends with something to just go around it and find another way. This was the third time I tried to get this building and apparently I am not meant to have it, so I will find another way, somehow! I think I really want something a little more funky anyway. Some days I feel like I am seriously being tested to see how bad I really want to create work. I got up at 7am this Sunday morning, it was 15 degrees and I loaded a kiln. How much more dedicated to your craft do you have to be!
I also had some new ideas come to me last night that I want to try out, so far off from what I'm making now it's ridiculous. When I went to this tarot reading the other day, one of the things she said to me was that my work was going to change drastically and I would be saying goodbye to a part of my work and moving on to something comletely different and then this thing came in my head. I'm not ready to say what, because I might be crazy :) we will see......

Hey, it's got to happen with that headstone, don't you think, that's a twilight kind of thing for sure, the power of positive makes it happen.
