Judging a book by it's cover

I picked up this book at a very cool bookstore in Hillsborough Friday with my pal Laura, and I totally picked it for the title and the cover. The Dirty Life, perfect, and look at the red barn!!! Turns out the book is as good as it's cover, it's about living and working on a farm and feeding people good locally grown fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy. I have a hard time putting it down to get anything else done. I had big plans for working uninterrupted in the studio today, but it was so beautiful outside that Wesley and I went over to the UNC campus and walked around then went to the Davis Library, seven floors of books, unbelievable books, heaven! Then lunch on Franklin St, then a trip to Trader Joes for Super Bowl snacks and we got some Girl Scout cookies. So, no pottery, but I did get my kiln loaded and it's ready to go for tomorrow and I have a Raku planned for this week, so there will be plenty to do. Meanwhile I am going to enjoy the rest of this lazy day with my book and a cup of tea.
My neighbor loaned me this CD, not sure I like it yet, but I love the artwork!

Oh- I had a cup of tea this after noon and everytime I do I think about you.
I hope you took out some stock in that Chia tea.
We took part of the day off- lunch and walking through downtown Asheboro- in and out of the Antique shops downtown... one of my favorite ways to waste a day!
