Hmmm...... this is kind of nice.....

I came in from my studio this afternoon, all forlorn (what is that nursery rhyme with the word forlorn in it, I don't think I have ever used this word, but I like it). Anyway, I digress.
Went out and checked the mail and I had a package, oh boy! I love packages in the mail that I didn't order for myself! Blogger and virtual friend extraordinaire, Gay Judson sent me this wonderful book. So, I poured myself a glass of wine, grabbed some cheese and crackers, a few grapes, went out on the deck, sat down and read. Bliss. I didn't have anything that had to be done. Gerry was out, Wes is not here, no dinner had to be cooked, no laundry, no errands, nothing. I could just sit and read and drink wine. Gay, the book is excellent, thank you, thank you! for a very nice surprise and a wonderful treat, I owe ya one!

I'll tell you more about the book as I read it.........

From "Mother Goose"

This is the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That killed the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

greetings,
Priscilla

I should have known, I still have my House that Jack Built book from when I was a little girl and I read it to Wesley when she was little. Thanks for the reminder!!!

I'd been thinking about sending it--but could not decide if it should go to Wes or to Tracey! But knew no matter who got it first it would be shared! Hope it is as good a fit as I imagined it would be!

Hi Gay! I have a couple of friends that I would like to share it with as well! I will definitely pass it on to Wesley first though, she will really like it.
Thanks again SO MUCH!!!!

I think going back to the farm is a fine idea, Trace. You do those barns so well, and they will continue to evolve.
And I should look at that book.
