FESTIFALL

It's that time of year again. There are Carolina blue skies here in Chapel Hill and fall is in the air. If you need something fun to do outdoors this weekend there is sure plenty going on. Come on over to Chapel Hill Sunday for Festifall. I'll be there for the third year and it's so much fun. That crazy green pear photo is featured on their facebook page, haha! This time last year we were wrapping up the Clay and Blogs reception and Gary and Linda Starr came by my booth for a visit. Speaking of Linda, she got a lot off of her chest this morning on my last blog post, Go Linda!
I'm priced and packed and ready to go. It's going to be one of those very perfect fall days, can't wait!!!!! It's about time since all of my spring shows were a complete wash out with rain and tornadoes and hail storms.
Last night I went out with my pals, Bob and Laura Farrow to the Hillsborough Artwalk, where my other pal Susan Wells was having a show. (check out Laura's blog today for a GREAT music video! WOW!) The town was crazy busy, galleries were packed. We walked into the gallery where Susan was showing to see Red Dots! on almost every piece! GO SUSAN, you rock! and these pieces were not cheap, large wood fired sculptures. SO, that gives me great hope for my work tomorrow, looks like the art folks want some comfort in these crazy days and they are buying beautiful work to sooth their souls. We also saw Laura Avery and the very cutest in the world child Judson. Her travel mugs are stunning, as well as her other work. Also visited the Eno gallery, can't say it's my favorite place but what little amount of pottery she had was beautiful. It's sort of an odd place.... anyway....Great art night, great food, great beer and the very best company. The weekend is off to a fabulous start. Gerry is shooting the NC State game today but will be off tomorrow and helping me with the show. Sadly, Wes will not be there because she has to screen films on Sundays :(
Hope to see you tomorrow!!!!!! Fingers crossed that the sales are as great as the weather!

have a great show, the weather should bring lots of people out there with money in hand!
curious to hear your thoughts on Eno... we have been meaning to get there. they have a very small assortment of small Jeff Brown vases. they have been there since last February and i think only a couple have sold.

Linda, it was very windy last year so I am taking the blocks to hold down my tent. Last year I used water jugs but the rough pavement punctured the plastic. I'm too lazy to make those great pvc pipes filled with concrete like I should be using :)
Meredith the C&B show was the BEST! So nice to have those memories of your sisters. Michele, I'll try and be nice here, I'll email you my thoughts on Eno!

GO GIRL!! It's about time you had Mother Nature cooperating with you ;o) The back of your car shot is the perfect prop shot for "Americana" road trip!

I am loving Mother Nature right now Cindy. It is so beautiful here right now! I thought the shot of my car loaded looked like Antques Roadshow or something. Guess we were thinking along the same line:)
