mid week.....

Good day in the studio today. I woke up to several orders in my inbox, from blog readers, thank you very much! I have the sheep and stars made, I'll probably fire the kiln at the end of the week. I have about 15 houses made and several to put together tomorrow. Thank you Jesus for this warm weather!!
Does any one object to me using the word "Jesus".........

Language is like a flag. (I said fLag, mind you...) The same words and flags mean different things to different people. Enough said.
Anyway, you make beautiful clay homes. Thanks for sharing.

Hell, no.

Pretty fancy photo app you're using these days~ like it!

Tracey Broome said...

Oh yeah, naked pics, that will help me out a lot Ang! As far as I can tell, the meanings of words change daily,so who is checking the urban dictionary anyway.
Oh Michele, you poor catholics, so much guilt!
Hey Joe thanks, glad you like my little houses and thanks for watching your language haha!
Hey Kathy, the app thing is soooo fun! Makes me feel all creative :)

you all were right on when you mocked me for the Urban Dictionary thing. It was lame. No excuses there.

What I should say is this:

Are there positive uses of the word "Fag"? Please share some examples. Sure it used to be used for stick and can be used for cigarette, but can it be used in a positive way to reference a person or an action?

I'd love it if the meaning of that word changed into something positive.

When I hear the word "Fag", I think of 2 things:

1. Hearing it shouted at me as people I grew up with drove by and threw a rock at my head. (in the dim dark days of my youth)

2. Hearing a kid say "Fag, if you come near me I will split your head open" to another kid on the bus a month ago.

When I hear "Jesus" I think of someone who advocated love, tolerance, compassion and understanding.

Which word do you think is more offensive?

Well, if you will go back and read this post http://www.tsbroome.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html#4498991941792430831
you will see that you have taken this whole thing completely out of context and you are using my blog for your own personal agenda. I'm sorry it struck an unhappy nerve, the WHOLE fucking point of my post was how uncomfortable I am talking about my work and you are going off about a three letter word, that was not EVEN used in the context you are putting it in.
Yep, we all had fucked up childhoods, I was made fun of for the way I dressed, for my dad's drinking, for my spaced out mind, blah, blah, blah... but you pick yourself up and get on with it.
and by the way, they NAILED Jesus to a cross for his love, tolerance and understanding.
I appreciate your concern for this word, but honest to God, this is being blown way out of proportion from what my post was really all about......

this is better than any party I have been to in a long time, funny insightful and tolerance. Those are the things that get us all through.
Humor, love and a bit of peace- deep breaths and all that.
Make pots not war.

Tracey Broome said...

oh great Cindy, now we are going to talk about the mormans! Yes, M. peace ya'll !!!!

Good grief, my blog is incredibly boring compared to this. Tracey has anyone crowned you as the Blogger Queen yet? I think that ceremony is in order.

Tracey Broome said...

All you gotta do is use a politically incorrect word apparently haha!!! No, I don't wanna be a queen, but thanks for the offer :)

This is way too funny! I'm only sorry I've turned up too late for the party.
