Lark and Key

Well, never mind. As soon as I posted yesterday on my blog about pricing, I got an email from Sandy at Lark and Key saying the little house below had sold to a couple from Seattle. Alrighty then, $325 it is. The house and girl have a happy new family! Isn't this a beautiful gallery? My pieces fit with the aesthetic of this place so well and I am very happy to be selling there. They have some beautiful work.

I love the way things are displayed in this gallery. Love the old wood, the old boxes, the hint of metal every now and then. If I had a gallery, it would probably look much the same. I have a lot of these boxes that I use for my booth display as well.
So, I suppose there is no turning back. My prices have officially gone up. I will have a simple house form for  $150- $200, but the ones I am adding found objects to will start at $325 and go up.
There, I said it. My days of the $5 pig ornaments for Hog Days Festival are officially over! I have paid my dues :)  I can either make dozens of $5 ornaments or 2 houses a day and spend a lot of time on them. I prefer the houses!
So let's get this economic recovery going, shall we?!

Fantastic! I am not surprised. Your work is terrific and so well finished. That is where my work is lacking I think....something about that last step. I LOVE my house. :)

And YES this gallery is beautiful. Just the place for your work....and a place I could totally spend some time (and $$)

Omg!!!! Did you pull all of these pricing concerns out of my head? Being at this show this weekend, all of those pricing demons are screaming in my ear! I have GOT to silence them.....
And I am so happy for you, selling your piece for a nice price! It is definitely worth it, and good for you for not making any more $5 pigs :)
That is a beautiful gallery. What a lovely place to have your work exhibited in!

Do you mean "successful potter" is no longer an oxymoron? Glad to hear it.

WAY TO GO !!!

I think pricing is the bete noir of every potter.

What a beautiful and perfect venue for your work.

Congratulations! You deserve it. (Nothing like 'overnight' success.)

That was me - Patricia Griffin - leaving the "YES!" comment... Not sure why it's not letting me sign-on. Will give this a try...
