Here are a few more pictures from the Greenhill show. I looked back over
the postcard, (thanks Michele for the tip that the mentor/student relationship is on the postcard, duh!) and I realized that I missed a lot of photos. My apologies to the artists that I don't have pictures of here. Is's nothing personal I promise! There were so many people that night, some of the pedestals were hard to even get close to, people gathered around chatting and looking. Checking out the list on the postcard, I also realize there was work I didn't even see! So definitely another trip is needed to see it all.
These were some of my favorites and some of my favorite NC Potters:
Samantha Henneke from Bulldog Pottery in Seagrove had this wall of bug tiles. Brilliant! She is my glaze hero! Can you imagine the time it took to make these?!
Joy Tanner
Bandana Pottery
Matt Jones
Oh Hyang Jong
loved this one

Michael Kline

Thanks for covering this show so completely...I really love a lot of the work you have posted from the exhibit...and identify with the heavily layered surfaces of Jason Burnett and the other person(did not know her, still cant remember the name, but will now continue to check her out, once I go back and look!!)Anyways thanks again...awesome show and continue to enjoy your blog!
Glad you have enjoyed it. Too bad all that read my blog can't get to the show, but isn't it nice to have virtual reality sometimes :)
I really wish I could get to the show, your pictures help but seeing in person is even better. At least we have the pictures, thank you so much for taking and posting them.
I LOVE Samantha Henneke's work too. Thanks for showing us. And Oh what to say about Mark Hewitt's forms. Ooooo la la. The best of the best. balanced, graceful, dripping with love.
That looks like a very interesting exhibition. There is a nice diversity of work in it. It's very interesting to see what work is being produced in America. Thanks.
great photos TB you did a good job.
thanks everyone, glad I can share the show with you all!!
thanks, Tracey! know who is the artist for the first piece with the black/white stripes? Of those, have always been drawn to Kline and Jones' pottery. Thanks for the pics. Sometimes the quieter ones are the best. Like yours.
oh geez, and meant to say Bandana Pottery too. The simple ones are usually my favorites!
The show looks great thanks for sharing Tracey.
