Jane Filer

I know a lot of you that read this blog are into pottery but these videos are so worth a view. My friend Laura  told me about this yesterday. I checked them out this morning and thought you would enjoy them as much as I did. Jane Filer is a local artist/celebrity and a wonderful artist. The videos are joyful and inspirational and full of great messages that any of us could use in our work.
Enjoy....
thanks Laura!

Jane is wonderful, and don't forget she has really put in the hours--I mean major commitment --for YEARS. And she loves what she does and it shows in her work. A true inspiration and model of living a creative life. Thanks for the vid she is good in front of the camera too!

Cathy, we were just talking at lunch about the hours you have to put in to succeed in art, you can see the commitment Jane makes with her work, it is so fabulous!

Great videos. We had a workshop this weekend with Paul Andrew Wandless, one of the things he said was that he doesn't look at other clay artist for inspiration but artists in other mediums. He said that added more inspired ideas to his clay work.

Lori, I couldn't agree more! I always look at other artists if I'm feeling less than inspired, NOT other potters. I don't want my work looking like it was inspired by a potter I admire, I want it to look like MY work, as you well know from some of my less than charming rants on the subject :)
