Journals and glaze organization

I treated myself to a new journal from Anthropologie last week. My neighbor paid me a ridiculous sum for keeping her dog, I tried to argue with her but she is Korean, and not easy to argue with :) so I graciously accepted and got this great new journal. I sort of got it for inspiration. I would like to make some dishes or something and use all the colors in this journal. It's so not me and I may never do it, but I have saved photos over the years of pottery I like and much of it is brightly colored, orange, chartreuse, turquoise, red, yellow....
I think I will use this for my weaving class which I start in just about a month from now!
Today I sat down with my many journals and reviewed them. I found notes from my very first hand building class with Barbara McKenzie, and it was interesting to see that I still use almost all the skills I learned in her class to this day. Thanks Barbara! You are a great teacher!!!
I also went through all of the glaze recipes I have written down over the years on scraps of paper and index cards and put them all into excel files on my laptop. Then I printed them out and put them in clear sleeves and then put all of that in a black binder. They are organized into different sections. Slips, stains and tera sig, cone 04, cone 6, raku and cone 10 (not that I will ever use that one). I also have a section on notes from workshops and technical notes.
I'm also working on breaking the glazes out into 500 gram, 3000 gram and 5000 gram amounts. I took an inventory of all the chemicals and colorants I have and I have most of what I need to do some testing. I feel so organized now.
These two are doing what they do best. Wesley eating and reading, Tyler begging. When this one gets back to school I plan to do some mixing and testing, I want some new colors.......
