Off to a good start

Monday morning..... today is the day. I went out to my studio yesterday to get something and as I opened the door I walked into a big old spider web with a giant spider sitting there. There were also  five other webs with little egg sac things in them and crawly spiders everywhere. Seems that in my absence some new residents have moved in. Time to get back out there and do some cleaning! I started the day off with my juicer- pear, peach, cantaloupe, apple, orange-yum, then I made us some oatmeal with quinoa and millet, dressed up with raisins, honey, and almond slices. Gerry gets up in the mornings and makes a press pot with coffee he buys at 3 Cups in Chapel Hill. This has become my go to cup in the mornings for his coffee. It's just the right size for the amount I get from splitting the press pot with Ger. I got this when I worked out at Mark Hewitt's. I love the glaze on this cup, wish the photo could show all of the nuances better.
Wesley and I went to the Farmer's Market Saturday and stopped by the PTA Thrift store on the way home. I got this shelf display for $5. I'm thinking red, white a blue.......
This little barn looks great on the rustic blue wood. I love primitive furniture although I will have to be careful that my pieces don't look too precious or as John, from Imagine Gallery put it, "twee". I like that phrase, don't you!? There is a fine line......
There is a daunting task waiting on me this morning with studio cleaning, but I am pretty cranked up on caffeine right now, so off I go. Glad you all liked the Jane Filer videos. She is quite the inspiring artist, isn't she?!

I too love the display shelf and I can't imagine picking it up as cheap over here.

Those old plant shelves are great but awkward to move around.Any of Mark's pots would get my eyes open in the morning( or any other time).

May I come over and lick that mug? And climb inside your barn and look out at your happy customers when they clamber over it? Nice shelf!
