How will I say goodbye?

The little indian girl and boy are finished, priced and sitting on the shelf in my house so I can bond with them before I have to say goodbye. I think I dreamed about them last night :)
They are so sweet and every time I walk by them I smile. That's why I do this! I want my work to make people smile.

Also bonding with these before I let them go. I really love these tins and the little barns seem right at home with them.
I have a few more of these made for Festifall, several with a Carolina blue roof, some Tarheels fan should be wanting one of these! I'll post more photos later, don't want to slam a bunch of photos at you all at once:)
Wesley is coming home for fall break on Friday, yay!! Should be a great weekend!

Nice, Tracey. I was telling an Asheville potter about you this weekend. I think her name is Dalding. She's a crystalline potter. Wish I had more information ...

Love them all as usual. The title reminds me of selling our first house. I had just done extensive remodeling and the place looked great. Friends asked what does it feel like to sell it after all that work? My answer was always the same PAYDAY !

Oh, so bittersweet. They are truly wonderful!
A little part of you goes with each of these beautiful works of art. The part of you that conceived and created them and now they must to go out into the world.
They leave your hands full of character and charm. Not unlike a well loved child.

I'm sure the lucky ones who buy them will cherish them :)

wow! am already thinking about some of my pieces that will be hard to part with. love the houses! i think that one of the most important parts of being a ceramic artist is liking one's own work!
