Haw River Festival Today!

I'll be down in Saxapahaw today for the Haw River Festival. Come on by and say hello if you are in the area. It's always a fun time. The festival is also the opening of the farmer's market and the Saturdays in Saxapahaw music series.

The skies are cloudy, it's windy and chilly but I'm going anyway. If the weather wants to screw with me for another year of outdoor festivals, I'm just going to fight back and get out there in it!. If you can't beat it, join it!

I have committed to doing the Saturdays in Saxapahaw again for this summer. I didn't do it last year, choosing to work hard getting work to galleries and larger indoor shows. That was a bust, so I'm going back to where I can at least have some fun, even if sales are slow. I will be there with raku pendants and small things under $50. This at least gets me in front of people and I can see what people are responding to.

The festival coordinator has kindly welcomed me back, and has given me a spot up on the porch near the Saxapahaw Artists Gallery, so I don't even have to bring a tent. This will be a quick set up, table, cloth, crates and two boxes of work. Easy peasy.
Now bring some money with you and come have some fun!

I'm going if it snows and hails! Which it might, the way it feels today :-) here I am battling for Mother Nature and she is bringing all she's got, haha!

Easy peasey is good and welcome! People are bustling with spring doings in Pittsboro. I hope they come Saxa way, too.
