Gifts from my friends

I have received so many great things in the mail from blogger friends and all of it inspires me every day. Some of the things have found new homes, some things I am using in my newest pieces and some things I 'm just keeping for myself. Here is the little nest I made with the wool from Anna and the barn it will go with. I also wound some of the wool around some twigs I had and really love the way this looks. I don't have any plans for the twigs yet, but they will wait.....

These dismembered legs came from a doll Meredith Heywood gave me, and they have been hanging around here since before Christmas. Yesterday during the thunderstorm we had, I was messing around with this chair that I have been wanting to make for awhile, and then I sat the legs on the chair, and then they decided they wanted to hang out of a house, so I made them a little house, and now I have about a gazillion ideas for chairs and houses and dismembered body parts. It's so interesting to me the way ideas come out of the blue and then they just snowball. I have so many ideas, I can't make houses fast enough for all of the things I want to do with them!

Here is a really great frame that my blogger friend Susan Meyers sent me. I am recycling tea bags to use for future projects and this one had such a nice pattern on it, I put it behind the frame with this key I found, I have a barn made for this one and it will also have a porcelain door knob that Meredith gave me. I am gathering quite a collection of stuff. I turned around to pick up something this afternoon and this was my view. I love what I'm digging through as I plan these new pieces. Sooo much fun! It's like shopping heaven! I'm starting to think about old beads, that might become my new obsession.......

that house has legs! It is wildly funny, make me laugh too.
I can just see them swinging back and forth and a wee child hanging out inside that house, thinking no one can see them...love the wool and eggs.

Last night's post did not stick....
I said- love the house with legs it made me laugh and think of how little kids love to hid in places where they think you can not see them. I see a child in a hiding place, legs swinging while they are giggling away...and the nest is a beauty.
Good stuff TB!

Love it tracey, it's creativity as it happens.. not just the finished product!
That chair and legs one is cracking...lokk forward to seeing that finished.
I'm sorry you STILL don't have my print, I've totally lost all control of my life at the minute. I will get it posted this week (printer allowing and being kind to me!)
I can't believe how many posts i can miss in one weekend!
