Say a prayer......

I can't even get my head around the news tonight. Why are our children in this country killing other children........ we need a new moral compass for our world......
my prayers are with all that lost someone today, this year, this lifetime, I feel your loss greatly today......
peace to everyone this holiday season as we are supposed to be celebrating a beautiful child's birth

I know, Sandy. We saw the meteors last night, there are a few more stars in the sky tonight....

It's hard to find words about this. It is so astonishingly evil ...

I know Hollis, I keep thinking what if that was Wesley, how would I ever go on.... Oh those poor parents.

We've just seen the news over here.
My heart goes out to the parents - the worst pain imaginable.

So many questions...

I lit 28 candles early this morning and placed them next to my lily pond. And prayed for peace, compassion, understanding, forgivness and hope for all involved. And am trying to attain some measure of all of these myself.

Shocking news isn't it Tracey. I just couldn't imagine it being my two boys. We can all hope the NRA finally see sense. We had a similar situation after the Hungerford massacre 1987, but that was the tipping point for new restrictions on semi-automatic weapons etc. This has been popping up on facebook and highlights what the government is up against!

That Wayne LaPierre seems a particularly odious character. One kid is too many, where's their moral compass??
Anyway, that's a debate for later! For now, it's all about those poor families.

Scott, I think all of us with kids are putting ourselves in the place of those parents and wondering how we would live through this nightmare. My feeling is that we need to figure out what is wrong with a society that causes young men in their 20's to do this and fix that, it's not the guns, it's the boys using them!

I'm not even able to process any of this... I'm trying to focus on prayer, hopefulness and loving my family even a bit more tonight...
