Today was my last day to make things maybe until next year.... I'll be at the CDCG show next week and I'll have the studio tour for the first two weekends of December. There is no way I'm making anything during the tour. And then Wesley comes home from school for winter break and then it's Christmas, so I'm not sure how I'll get any pottery making done. I think I have enough work. I've been hoarding everything I've made for the past three months. Today, I cleaned everything and sorted what's going where. I'll fire my kiln Sunday and then one more raku firing and that's it until 2012. My plan is to start back to work in January. I have lots of new ideas and sketches, so we'll see what the new year brings.

I love the woven grass on the rim....
I envy you your production schedule. I am really pushing it with all I have to get done. I think by the 12th I will be done.....
Good look on the coil pot. I've got 2 small sales and a big one. Done by Dec 10.
Whew, guys, tis the season!
It is hard to be out of clay for too long! Something to look forward to at least.
The camera was probably focussing on the light in the picture, not the pot
Away from clay will be a change, but you'll be back at full speed in January! It will be lovely for you having Wesley home for the winter break. Thanks for posting the raku recipe, I'll probably give it a try soon. Camera's... auto focusing.... don't get me started! My most hideous camera auto focusing moment was when I tried to take some lunar eclipse photos, and the daft thing would keep getting confused! It had me roaring bad words and hopping up and down on the spot at some ungodly hour of the morning... not a pretty sight! My camera has a nervous breakdown with some glazes, usually ones that are semi gloss or almost matt.
Hi GZ and Peter, you would think I could get a better shot, after all I live with a professional photographer! My camera just has a mind of it's own.
I'm sort of looking forward to a break from clay, I'm really tired!
